The brand
A cycling story that began with the first Slavia bicycle in 1895 is now arriving on Indian roads. Before Škoda made cars, it made bicycles.
In 1895, Laurin & Klement started making its Slavia bicycles and, later on, motorbikes in Mladá Boleslav. Automobile production was launched in 1905.
The Laurin & Klement logo graced cars from Mladá Boleslav until 1925, since when they have sported Škoda's winged-arrow symbol.
Škoda's motor car racing roots trace back to 1908, when Laurin & Klement entered four-wheeler motorsport, building on the Voiturette A launched in 1906. Decades of racing success continue to inspire the engineering, design and performance of Škoda today.
Škoda's first production RS model arrived in 2000 and has evolved across four generations — from straight-line performance to sharper dynamics, stronger engineering and motorsport-inspired driving.
Monte Carlo editions celebrate the brand's motorsport legacy at the iconic Monte Carlo Rally with distinctive black styling, while Sportline models bring sporty styling elements, dark accents and a sharper, more dynamic expression to everyday driving.
